Ed Arbuckle, CPA, FCA, TEP, is President of Personal Wealth Strategies, a fee based personal tax advisory and financial planning firm in Waterloo, Ontario. Personal Wealth Strategies provides a broad range of tax and financial planning advice to its clients in the Kitchener – Waterloo area and across the country.
Ed is a Chartered Professional Accountant and a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. He also is an alumnus of both KPMG and PwC. He qualified as a chartered accountant in Kingston, Ontario. After moving to Kitchener, Ontario he became a tax partner and then office managing partner with Coopers and Lybrand (since merged into PwC). In 1985 Ed was awarded the designation of Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (FCA) because of his significant contribution to the profession and his extensive community involvement. In 1985 he attended an Advanced Management Programme in Oxford, England.
Ed’s practice concentrates primarily on personal tax planning, retirement planning, estate planning, and planning for individuals with special needs. He currently contributes articles on financial and tax planning to the MoneySaver magazine.
Community involvement has been a lifetime priority with Ed serving on boards and volunteering for Red Cross, United Way, Big Brothers, minor hockey, the Kitchener Waterloo Chamber of Commerce, the KW Symphony to name a few. Most recently, he served on the Board of Directors and was Treasurer of the Waterloo Wellington Community Care Access Centre.
